Adidas on Runkeeper


Mapp Media’s fitness portfolio provided the perfect platform for Adidas and Spotify to reach out to running enthusiasts with a playlist generating ‘Boost Your Run’ hub.

The hub enabled athletes to create the perfect soundtrack to accompany their workout and ultimately Boost Their Run. The campaign was a media first solution that drove incredible engagement, culminating in winning the Best Mobile Campaign at the ME Awards in 2014


To find ways for Spotify and Adidas to enhance their integrated partnership by enabling users from across the globe to sync up their workout activity and create the perfect playlist to accompany their run.


Runkeeper’s mapping capabilities provided a unique way for users to create personalised playlists using location, distance and intensity as well as favourite artists into account. The user could then listen to their perfect soundtrack to suit their run. Additional features included suggested routes, saving playlists to Spotify or sharing via social media.


The supporting media ran across selected Mapp Media platforms driving more than 250,000 unique users to the Adidas and Spotify hub in only 4 weeks. Over 70,000 routes were created as thousands of fitness enthusiasts were driven to the hub with great engagement rates.
